FAQ’s

At Tepau Laser Hair Removal before any treatment is carried out a free consultation and patch test is required. The consultation will take a brief medical history to consider any possible contraindications. We will assess the treatment area and carryout a patch test to reduce the risk of any adverse reaction. Pre and Post care information will also be provided.

Our diode laser uses ice cooling technology which makes the process comfortable for most people. There can be a little discomfort on more sensitive skin areas.

Laser hair removal is safe and effective, but can occasionally cause some side effects such as a redness and temporary discomfort. It is important to follow aftercare advice.

Laser hair removal works by detecting melanin in dark hair underneath the skin surface. Laser hair removal is less effective for hair colours that do not absorb light well such as blonde, red or grey/white hair.

The laser light is attracted to the melanin in the hair and skin. The light energy converts to heat, therefore, damaging the hair follicle. This will then inhibit or slow down any future hair growth.

Yes we pride ourselves on being a gender inclusive salon and we are very happy to discuss any requirements with you.
